"Great deal on this cast iron set!!! Had no problems at all. If your pans are rusting then it is definitely something you are doing wrong. It's cast iron if you follow the instructions it's easy."

Cast Iron Needs Seasoning
November 18, 2014
"Quick guide to seasoning cast iron:
Wash and dry thoroughly, using a burner to warm it. When cool enough to touch, wipe the pans down on all sides, even the handles, with a thin layer of vegetable oil. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, and stick a broiling pan on the lowest rack. Place the pans upside down on the upper rack, close the door, and let sit at 400 for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, turn the oven up to 450-500, and let set for another 15 minutes. After the pans cool, there should be a nice dark color to them. Repeat two or three times (no need to wash between seasonings), and you should have a nice tough nonstick surface."

preventing rust and sticking
August 26, 2014
"To the customers that say theirs rusted... All castiron pans rust if leave them in water or do not dry them completely they are iron hence the name castiron. Here is a tip once u have washed them place them on the stove turns the stove on high n about 30seconds to one minute the pan will be dry and rust free. Also due to the high heat of the pans yes food will stick u don't need to cook on high once your pan is hot turn your heat down to help with the sticking and don't use cheap oil... Happy cooking"

Worst purchase ever
June 12, 2014
"I brought this product and I deeply regret this purchase. I followed the instructions but the pots still rusted. You cannot leave food in them because the food takes on the chemical taste from the pots. They rust as soon as you wash them. Purchase this product at your own risk I only wished that I would have returned them."

"I bought a larger set for myself last year, the are wonderful!!!! not an issue that does not occur with all cast iron.
I bought this set for my daughter in law because she loved mine so much.
Easy to season, easy to use and clean up.

I have always found that you can clean cast iron by either just wiping them clean with a paper towel & when they truly need cleaning, even with soap & water, if you put the pan on low heat on the stove to dry, they will never rust. And for those who think if they get rusty they must be thrown away, all it takes is having them sand blasted then re-seasoned to be of use again. Doesn't take brains to use them properly, just a bit of common sense.

You not suppose to use soap. Wash with warm water or as hot as you can stand it and wipe it clean, then dry with a dry towel and put it away for the next use.
